Duties Involved in The Marketing and Administration of the What’s On In Barbados Event Calendar

Daily: 

- Scan all possible sources (in both print and electronic media) for new/updated events

- Examine and respond to incoming emails/messages about events (formatted and unformatted)

- Add/update events on calendar 

- Validate event data (including ensuring that ongoing events are still valid)

- Maintain appropriate records of event sources

- Email/telephone prospective sources seeking event information

- Promote daily events and weekly newsletter via social media (Facebook and Twitter)

- Build the social media following (liking and following appropriate Pages and Accounts as well as responding to private messages)

 Weekly: 

- Set up weekly Newsletter and send it out.

- Seek new email addresses for Newsletter and vet and update Newsletter email list accordingly

- Update Newsletter address list with weekly Real Holidays addresses from the appropriate database of addresses

- Advise of any issues that may arise with eBlast facilitator iContact

- Track performance of weekly Newsletter

- Respond to queries about the Newsletter

Monthly/Quarterly:

- Create a Spreadsheet as a Checklist for the monthly/quarterly rolling-over of continuous monthly/quarterly events.
